About

Behind the moniker Boo Santana stands Brayden Johnson, a 20-year-old producer, artist, and engineer based in Boston. While the vocals may be the most visible part of his practice, they are, in his own words, only the tip of the iceberg. The greater share of his work unfolds behind the scenes — in the studio, at the mixing board, and in the details of a take — where his command of production and engineering quietly defines the sound of everything he releases.

Johnson's reputation as an engineer is built on precision. His sessions are marked by an exacting ear for tone, space, and dynamics, and a willingness to chase a sound until it sits exactly where it should. That same discipline carries into his production, where layered textures and considered arrangements give his records a depth that rewards repeated listening. He treats the studio as an instrument in its own right, and it shows.

His reach already extends well beyond his years. In 2024, Johnson collaborated with Kanye West on a demo of the track "ALL THE LOVE" — an early signal of a creative range that few artists his age can claim. He later competed in the 2026 Timbaland x Orbiiit challenge, testing his instincts against a national field of producers and confirming a sensibility that holds its own at the highest level.

For all that he has built, Johnson sees his catalog so far as a beginning. Looking ahead, he plans to collaborate with many more artists across genres and disciplines — not simply to add credits to his name, but to "expand the soundscape" and push the boundaries of what his work can become.
